🤣 Tracy Morgan in NJ

February 21 @ 8:00 pm

Tracy Morgan was born in the Bronx and raised in public housing in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Morgan’s father, Jimmy, was a musician and served in Vietnam. When he returned from the war, he was a heroin addict. He moved out of the family home when Tracy Morgan was just six. In the late 1980s, Morgan dropped out of high school to care for his father, who was ill. In spite of these humble beginnings, Morgan became a success on the standup circuit and eventually made it to Saturday Night Live. When he left the show, former SNL head writer Tina Fey scooped him up for her sitcom, 30 Rock. In 2014, Morgan was involved in a car accident with a tractor-trailer truck. He was in a coma for a time and suffered a traumatic brain injury. With physical, speech and cognitive therapy, Morgan has largely recovered. Morgan’s standup includes a hilarious bit about him failing as a teenage crack dealer. Watch it below👇
