The El Rancho Hotel was the 1st hotel and casino in Las Vegas, opening 78 years ago in 1941. In addition to gaming and entertainment, the El Rancho also gave birth to the first Las Vegas Buffet. ?????

The Flamingo Hotel and Casino, opened by Bugsy Siegel in 1946 is often mistaken for being the 1st casino in Vegas, but it was the 3rd, following The Last Frontier.
